This is my passion. Birds can be unpredictable, some pose significant
exposure challenges, some are colorful, all have wonderful detail in
their plumage and some change their appearance on a seasonal basis. They
present a whole variety of photographic opportunities; from simple
portraits to high speed action. All in all they make fascinating
photographic subjects. I like to to try and capture a variety of images.
My portfolio includes a large number of different species illustrated
in close up, flight and in the context of their environment or
behaviour. I also enjoy adopting different photographic styles but my
preferred option is low angle photography with the aim of achieving a
