I've been interested in wildlife and nature photography for about 4 years. I have had a love of nature since a young boy and capturing images on film seemed a natural progression from simply observing the natural world.
I like to capture subjects in detail but also in the context of their habitat and behaviour. I am a big fan of 'creating a picture' using the subject and its environment. I try to adopt that approach in my images.
I have to juggle a pretty demanding job and family and would, therefore, class myself as a casual weekend photographer. For me, photography is a way to step aside from the stresses of the working week. I would love one day to turn this passion into a profession.
